dry cleansers
If you are coming to Boston for extended medical care, there is a good chance your laundry will start to pile up. Not surprisingly, we have resources to help you resolve this problem.
- There are several dry cleansers on Charles Street, near the Yawkey Building. ("Cleansers"? Nope, that's not a typo. We're a little quirky here in Boston ... when we speak, we don't use "Rs" nearly as often as we should, and we sometimes put an extra "S" in "cleaners" for no apparent reason.)
- Clevergreen Dry Cleansers is a local favorite and uses toxin-free, bio-degradable solvents, 109 Charles Street, (617) 523-6925, Clevergreen Cleansers;
- Charles Street Laundromat, [39 Charles Street] is a typical "do-it-yourself" laundromat.
- There are also two dry cleaners in the Charles River Park apartment complex across Blossom Street from the Cox, Gray and Jackson Buildings.
- Follow signs to Blossom Ct. and/or the Thoreau Path;
- the Charles River Park Cleansers is located on the Thoreau Path, in a small commercial centre, between Pace & Son (a family owned convenience store) and Bea's Nails (you can probably figure that one out on your own);
- Lapels is also located in the Charles River Park complex, at 4 Longfellow Place -- they offer free pick-up and delivery. [(617) 248-0700] (At Lapels, you can receive $5.00 off of five dry clean items if you show them your "T" CharlieCard).
- If you are staying at The Residence Inn or the LaQuinta (see, the "Other Accommodations" link in the sidebar to the left ), they have washers/dryers available for their guests' use.
